Here We Are in the DR!

by Jennie O. | June 29, 2012 1:34 PM

After a day of airports, plane rides and buses we have made our way to Cristobal in the Dominican Republic. We were warmly greeted by many of the local people at church and we introduced ourselves to the Pastor we will be partnering with. We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us this week!

So Much Fun

by Jennie O., PPM staff | June 30, 2012 10:30 PM

We had a wonderful first day of Vacation Bible School today. The kids were amazing and are always reaching out to us. We are already finding friends this week among the children here. It's clear they always want to be here at the church.

Baseball Extravaganza

by Jennie O | June 30, 2012 10:32 PM

We had a HUGE crowd on the baseball field. It was amazing how we were able to guide and help so many children and youth in the community have an awesome afternoon playing together. God was definitely with us this afternoon!

In God's House

by Jennie O., PPM staff | June 30, 2012 10:36 PM

Tonight we shared songs, testimonies from Blake, Katie and Kylee. Dan spoke from the heart a message about God's love. It was wonderful to meet more members of the church and it makes us want to make the most of every opportunity. Thank you for your prayers so far. We are truly blessed!

Time for Church

by Sarah, PPM Staff | July 1, 2012 10:09 PM

We were blessed to be able to spend the majority of our day in the house of the Lord! This morning we enjoyed Sunday School with the kids from the community - we saw many of our new friends from VBS! In the afternoon we were able to visit homes near the church and pray for many people. We attended another service this evening and loved being a part of what the Lord is doing in Cristobal! Here is a picture of a few of our group members after church!

Prayer is Powerful

by Sarah, PPM Staff | July 2, 2012 10:24 PM

This evening we were able to be a part of the youth group at church. We had a great time playing games with the Dominican students - smiles and laughter filled the entire church! At the end of the evening, we spent time in prayer with one another. The Lord did amazing things between us and we were so thankful for that special time with one another.

New Friends

by Sarah, PPM Staff | July 4, 2012 11:52 PM

It's necessary to take a break from working in the hot sun. What better way to do it than with our new friends! It's amazing the bonds we have made with the people here. The Lord has certainly blessed us. To God be the glory!

One Big Family

by Sarah, PPM Staff | July 5, 2012 12:00 AM

We had an amazing week in the Dominican Republic. The Lord worked in ways we never could have imagined and we couldn't have asked for a better trip. We worked hard, developed strong friendships, and made many wonderful memories. Instead of saying "goodbye," we are saying, "see you later" to this beautiful community. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support. We cannot wait to tell you more about our trip when we return home tomorrow! May God be praised for a week we will never forget!
