Grace Chapel Community Church

We arrived at Shelby Forest Baptist Church this afternoon! We are so excited to begin serving and to see what the Lord has in store for us this week!

We’ve served with Shelby Forest for a few years now and every time we reunite it’s like coming home!

Today we got the pleasure to lead worship during the church service. It was such a beautiful service and we loved growing closer to God. 

Today we worked with Meals on Wheels and got to go out into the community. Each house that we delivered a meal to we also got to take the time and pray for them. 

We had an amazing time this morning completing various work projects (preparing the hallway to be painted, cleaning out an office, and removing branches from the property) at Fletcher. It was such a blessing to be able to spend time with Pastor Della and Pastor Huston while at the church. 

Over the past couple days we’ve had the opportunity to hangout with the kids at Neighborhood Christian Centers! NCC does a summer program for local kids as well as after school programs throughout the year. Today we had a ton of fun playing outside!

While working with Meals on Wheels we were able to go into the community. As we delivered meals to people in the community we were able to have meaningful conversations. Each person that we spoke to was loved on and prayed for.

Today at fletchers two kids showed up for VBS! It was so sweet to get to spend time with these two! We also were able to begin painting in the entry way and we continued to prep the hallway to be painted.

This morning a few of us took some time to care for the church’s cemetery. It’s crazy how much pulling weeds can make an impact on the appearance of the cemetery.

Such a bittersweet ending to an amazing week serving at Shelby Forest. Today we got in our final hugs before the send off. See you next year Shelby Forest!
