Peoples Church

We made it to Nicaragua safe and sound. We are so excited to serve alongside the local church and to see what God has in store for us this week.

There is no better way to start this week than by meeting our local pastors Meyling and William who have been working in this community for 16 years. We feel motivated by their example and we feel honored to be able to work with them during this week.

The purest act of communion for Christians is to pray for one another. Today we had the opportunity to visit homes and motivate our brothers and sisters in Christ to continue growing in faith.

We had the opportunity to distribute food and also learn a little about the lives of the people of this beautiful community who make us feel so welcome every moment we spend here.

There is nothing better than worshiping our God as brothers and sisters in Christ, even though we speak different languages, we worship the same God and that is all that matters.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity. It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes.It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion. For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

Psalm 133:1-3

Tonight God spoke to us through a powerful message and reminded us that despite being the creator of the universe he will always stop to see us just as Jesus did with the blind Bartimaeus.

It is incredible how despite the hard work, we have had time to live and talk with our brothers from this beautiful community that has made us feel so loved from the first moment we arrived here.

We continue to get to know our local family and what better way to do so than in the comfort of their homes? We appreciate the warm welcome that each one gave us in their homes.

On our second day of VBS we learned that God is always looking for us when we are lost. It is good to remember how our heavenly father loves us.

Today, we gathered as a community of believers, filled with the spirit of service and fellowship. With hearts set on glorifying God through our actions, we joined hands with our brothers and sisters in christ to cleanse and beautify our neighborhood. Our mission was not only to tidy the physical spaces but also to reflect the love and grace of Christ in our actions.

The church is active and united.  Serving with much gratitude and love.  We are very grateful for this opportunity to share the love of Christ in the Sabadell neighborhood where the Amor y Paz church is located.   We will continue to pray for the gospel of Christ to be preached and for this neighborhood to be reached by the love of Jesus.

Finally we gathered at the church all together for a vibrant time of singing and praising the Lord. The atmosphere was charged with the Holy Spirit as all the voices lifted in unison, worshiping with joyful hearts.

Songs of praise echoed through the hall, each melody a heartfelt offering to our Savior. With hands raised high and eyes closed, we felt the presence of God moving among us, filling us with His love and grace.

Yesterday, we embarked on an exhilarating adventure, experiencing the thrill of volcano boarding. The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie as we climbed the rugged slopes, eagerly anticipating the rush of sliding down the volcanic ash. The breathtaking views from the top and the adrenaline-fueled descent created unforgettable memories for everyone involved.In addition to the thrilling sport, we enjoyed various recreational activities that allowed us to bond and relax. The day was a perfect blend of adventure and leisure, fostering a spirit of unity and fun. It was a day well spent, filled with laughter, new experiences, and a renewed sense of community. The memories of this unique and adventurous day will surely be cherished for years to come.

As our time in Nicaragua comes to an end, we reflect on an amazing journey filled with unforgettable experiences. From the vibrant culture to the warm hospitality of the locals, every moment has been a blessing. Our adventures, from thrilling volcano boarding to meaningful service at the local church, have enriched our lives and deepened our bonds. We leave with hearts full of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime. Though we say goodbye, we carry with us the spirit and beauty of Nicaragua, grateful for every moment of this incredible trip.
