Heritage United Methodist Church

It's bright and early in the morning and we have just arrived to Puerto Rico. We are so excited for what God has in store for us. We are here at the beach about to enjoy some delicious pinchos. 

After lunch we headed to our hotel to settle in and at 6:00 p.m. we went to Puerto Rico Christian School. A school founded by a missionary and they will be preparing our breakfast and dinners. 

Today we are at Iglesia Metodista Carlos Wesley. Pastor David is doing the lesson and we are learning about 1 Corinthians chapter 15 where Paul talks about the resurrection of Christ and how the body, the mind and the spirit are one in Christ.

Two of our missionaries gave a testimony of how God has worked in their lives. One in particular shared about a Bible that was given to him by his brother and how in one night he read half of it and he spelled the spirit of his and he's a changed man.

Today's our first day of ministry and we are bright and early setting up everything we need to work at Puerto Rico Christian School. This school has hosted missionaries before and we are going to help build a concrete floor and raise a wall to put new showers.

It is hot and sunny and we are working hard to get this floor done. The first part is to lower the floor 4 in so that they can pour concrete and create a new floor we're also moving bricks because we're going to raise a wall tomorrow

The kids are doing art using chalk on the sidewalk. 

We are now playing baseball with the kids and having a lot of fun. 

Today we are up bright and early to start our project. We are laying a foundation with sand and gravel and concrete to be able to put the blocks and be stable so we can raise the wall. 

After a very productive morning mixing concrete to lay the foundation we are now at San Juan Park for our VBS day 2. We are making a musical instrument called shakers using plates and beans and the kids are decorating it you can't wait to see the kids dancing with it.

Today's our last day of projects and we are hard at work mixing the concrete to lay the Blocks for the wall. 

After the crafts we are now playing dodgeball with kids.

After our third day of VBS and it's time to say goodbye to our kids from San Juan Park. We are joyful that we got to serve with them but also sad that it's over. We end it with a big circle and praying for everyone.

We have a very early flight tomorrow morning, so we are ending our trip with a fun and exciting excursion. We are at the  Bioluminescent Bay in the town of Fajardo, one of 6 Bio Bays in the world and the island of Puerto Rico has 3 of them. It's been an amazing trip and we are excited to end this trip enjoying God's beautiful creation.
