Central Reformed Church

We are so grateful to be back in beautiful Belize! We made our way to Big Falls where we will be serving this week. Feeling incredibly blessed to be here and witness the amazing work our brothers and sisters are doing to serve our God.

Happy Sunday! We started the day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a wonderful devotional that strengthened our relationship with God. Now, we're filled with excitement to be in the house of the Lord. We have so much to be grateful for, and at the church service, we'll even get the privilege of introducing ourselves and sharing a song!

We are thankful for Pastor Chub and his wife, for stepping out and doing the work of God here in Big Falls by leading inspiring sermons and reaching out to those in need."

Later on today we packed bags with  groceries where many families will be blessed this week. We can’t wait to see the joy of these families as they receive this blessing. 

We had the privilege to get a special tour at our host pastor’s farm. 

We ended our day bonding with our Belizean friends from Big Falls through worship, games, camp fire and learning more about God together. It was incredible to watch many youth give their lives to Jesus. Praise God for that! 

As we’ve visited these families and blessed  them with groceries we have been learning a lot about their culture. During these visits we have heard their stories and we have been encouraging them as well. 

VBS kicked off with a fantastic turnout! Our efforts reaching out to the community really paid off. We had a fun-filled day with activities like coloring, games, and singing songs. The highlight was a skit about the story of Jonah, which helped us teach the importance of obedience. The kids were so engaged, and we can't wait for the rest of the week!

This morning we had the opportunity to experience how to make chocolate from scratch. It was so much fun grinding the chocolate just like our beloved Ms. Nancy is doing it on the picture!

We then visited a Mayan site, Lubantun (Fallen stones). We learnt a lot about the Mayan history on this tour.

We really enjoyed playing with these kids today during VBS. Seeing their joy and excitement just by playing this game, Run Rover make us all happy. 

Later on we helped to prepare the corn tortilla by hand and ate them along with our dinner. We have been having great experiences this week as we serve the Lord and this beautiful community. 

It was a true blessing to be welcomed into each home"...to share prayers, have heartfelt conversations, and discover the unique strengths each person offered. "We were humbled and learned so much from their resilience and spirit."

We had our last  day of VBS today, and  it was totally a blast! Amazing things happened today. The kids have learned Bible stories, citing a verse and playing volleyball and the day has ended so well with so much laughter and  fun.

This week at Big Falls has been truly amazing! We had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the spirit of community was truly inspiring. The church service today was especially moving, filled with heartfelt prayers It's these moments that make coming together so special.
