Stockbridge First United Methodist Church

We have arrived to Puerto Rico! We cannot be more exited to serve the community of Castañer in Lares. God is definitely with us. Seeing his love through our host church has impacted us. We are ready to serve and spread the thing that has gotten us here: his love!

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves"

Romans 12:10

We begin our Sunday morning with worship service as we praise & worship along with the congregation.

This afternoon we went to Ponce to see more of the beautiful Puerto Rico. At the recreational plaza there was music, food, and hand made crafts for the community to enjoy. We really enjoyed our time there. Finishing the day with a devotional to reflect on our journey that led us here. God is good! 

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

We started this morning by painting some rooms in our host church. We are loving our time here and grateful to be serving this community. 

Another team working on one of the three classrooms we are painting today. Looking great! 

Glory be to God! We finished painting the classrooms. Even though it was hard work, it is already worth it knowing it will bless countless lives. 

We continue cleaning & painting today at the church providing a spaces for the upcoming,  summer activities being held for the community. 

Starting the day with serving the beautiful community of La Vega, Castañer by painting a precious house. Glad we can be a blessing to others!

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many

We are on the final stretch as we finish the classrooms by touching up the ceiling, & edges.

Almost done painting this beautiful house. “If he says so, l will” is the quote that we repeat to ourselves to push through the heat and tiredness. We’re close to the finish line!

Last night we finished with a beautiful service to remind is of what God has done this week. We reflected in our God moments and testimonies. This mission trip has been a blessing to our lives and many others. We are grateful with God and the people that have been taking care of us. We know he has a plan for us, and he is not done with it yet!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

We are so thankful with everyone who took care of us here in Puerto Rico. God definitely moved throughout this week. We thank God for letting us serve this community and spread his gospel. It was an honor to help and worship with the Baptist Church of Castañer. Today, we head home full of new experiences, relationships and testimonies. This trip was a blessing! 

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
