We made it safe and sound to Costa Rica. We are extremely expectant of what God wants to do during this week and ready to be the hands and feet of God.

It's a beautiful, albeit hot, community here in the North of Costa Rica. We are looking forward to serving the church here.

Today we have a wonderful time at dinner and we also have a special cheff who was giving to us a fork or a spoon. Was special for her to share dinner time helping to the ladies church.

One of the highlights for every trip is the church day and today was no different. We were able to participate in the church service with the locals here in Upala. What's more, we had the honor of hosting most of the parts of the service including worship (with banners), testimonies, and the sermon. The church even surprised us with a Christian mariachi singer at the end!
The next few pictures are from that service.

Since coming to pastor this church 19 years ago, these two and their family have experienced many joys and hardships that come with pastoring a church.

We had the opportunity to gather some kids to have a mini soccer camp with a little skills training, followed by a few scrimmages with varying degrees of competitiveness, and a snack time at the end. A good time was had by all!

Today started like the others with some quiet time, a devotional and a delicious breakfast. From there we split into two groups: one to prep the new fence for paint and the other to go grocery shopping for the food distribution for the week. We are looking forward to the thankful and encouraged recipients of the food as well as the end product of a beautiful new fence.

Here the team spent some time with the gentleman and his wife (90 & 80 respectively). They were both very grateful for the visit from the team. They said that they felt that the Lord visited them through the team.

Tonight we had a great time with the youth of the church. We played a number of games together and Michael shared a message. We wrapped up with a powerful time of prayer together.

Youth Ministry was a blast!
And we couldn't ended it in a better way: sharing the Good News to this new generation. We believe God will squeez them with his great love and mercy instead of the sin and temptation leaving them lifeless.

Today was a great day of ministry as we wrap up our time here! After the morning devotional and breakfast half of the group began the final work on the fence while the other loaded up the bus with groceries for our house visits. I was with the house visits this time. We really enjoyed the company of the people we visited. They were so gracious as we dropped in and asked them about their lives! We asked how we could pray for them and prayed for those specific needs.

The Last Day of ministry and we haven't stopped working hard!
We are so happy to be able to finish the fence today so the church can be increasingley safer and so on.

During Elders Ministry Luis sang a song about how God leave the 99 sheep to go and find the one that is lost.
Remembering the unconditional love that God has for us. We will carry that memorie in our hearts!

WOW....Another great couple of days. You are such a Blessing to everyone that you visit in the community. Also such a gift to the Youth and little ones. I am continuing to pray for good health and safety as you travel around the community. I pray that God give you all the energy that you need, and the strength to help this community. Also that He would give you good rest when you are able. Love and God's Blessings to you all.
