First Presbyterian Church, Anderson, SC

This morning a group of us are at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Canóvanas. We're celebrating Father's Day and worshiping our Heavenly Father. We're thankful to PIB Canóvanas for receiving us.

We spent Sunday service with Pastor Abraham at his church, First Baptist Church of Peniel. We are so happy to have been able to praise God with them today!

Today half of the group that is serving at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Canóvanas got to meet the family we'll be serving this week and the amount of work that needs to be done at their house. We will be fixing their roof, kitchen and bathroom. Lots of work to do, but we are so excited to bless this family. 

The school ministry of PIB Canóvanas Academia Bautista Sotera Sánchez; a kinder to eight grade private school has their Summer Camp this month where the kids reinforce what they learned at school and learn new things. We're interacting with the kids and helping teachers. We love meeting the kids and learning with them.

We're blessing PIB Canóvanas with some scraping of the church parking fence this morning. Is hot and the Sun is shining bright but we love getting the work done for this community.

Today we are starting our Vacation Bible School at Iglesia Bautista de Peniel. We are doing masks related to the theme of the week, Bible superheroes. We are having fun!

We are ready to serve God on this wonderful day as a team. We are so grateful to be able to have different opportunities to serve the community and work with kids at VBS and Summer School and the different houses. We thank God for this opportunity. 

Goals for today:

- finish pressure washing the roof

- clean and add cabinets to the kitchen

- install a toilet

We are excited to do the Lord’s work!

We are so happy to learn about superheroes in the Bible. Today we are having an amazing experience learning about the Ester story and doing capes. Kids are really enjoying and having fun together! 

Today we're playing outside with the kids from summer school. We're playing Duck, Duck, Goose and Hopscotch. The kids had lot's of fun and us too.

Today we are hoping to finish the roof and install the toilet. We can’t wait to see the outcome of our hard work. 

Today we are making paper mache flowers with the kids at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Canovanas. 

We are moving some wonder blocks to rebuild a wall of pastor Abraham's son's house. Pastor Abraham is excited about the work we've been able to do for him.

After a good long day of work we are enjoying delicious ice cream. This shop is a local store that focuses on helping kids with autism and their families doing some activities through the sale of the ice cream. Puerto Rico Ice Cream at Rio Grande is an amazing place!

We are having a great cultural exchange experience learning about puertorican Salsa Dance.  Everyone is enjoying themselves learning the dance moves.

We are mixing cement to make a platform for a water cistern. The church is very pleased with how well we've been doing the job.

After a long and productive day of work, we are having an amazing time at the Luquillo Beach. It’s a really beautiful environment. We are having fun!

Today we are learning the bible story about Joshua and the Wall of Jericho. Everyone is enjoying their time together building walls with blocks. 

Today is the last day with pastor Abrahan at his church. We have been so grateful to have the opportunity to get to know this pastor and his church community.

One of our team member is a retired pilot so while some of us continued projects around the church and school building Pilot George Venturella talk to the summer camp kids at Canóvanas about being a pilot and his experiences flying around the world. We're thankful for him and his willingness to do this presentation for the kids.

We are at the national rain forest in Puerto Rico. The day is clear out and we are having plenty of fun looking at the sight's.
