First Presbyterian Church of York

Although a little later than planned, our team from Pennsylvania arrived safe and sound last night and are excited and ready to serve this week!

Today we arrived around 9:00am to pack food bags for Catholic charities, and in only 3 hours this team packed over 6000 pounds of food! 

The last bag of the day is finished, putting us over 13,000 pounds of food packed and ready to go!

Did some clearing and cleaning over at Mount Olive Baptist Church!

Today we’re helping some teachers at Pearl Watson Elementary move their things from one room to the next in preparation for next year!

“Everything has got to go!”

Today we’re cleaning and renovating “The Perch”, a courtyard of sorts in the Mount Olive Church property. It’ll be a place of warmth in the winter and cool in the summer, a place for people to come and rest their weary souls. We’re helping to build a firepit, a sitting area for women, a sandbox for children. 

After digging up what seemed like endless mounds of dirt, they’re finally laying the grass down and pouring in the sand!
