First Presbyterian Church, Houston

We’ve made it to Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church! We’re excited to start the week-ready to serve and are excited to see what God has in store for us!

The adventure begins. Pink team arrived. 

Some of the students got up and led the kids in worship songs and dance! We’re excited to serve God this week!

We got a chance to play outside to run off some steam and enjoyed playing some fun games!

Today part of our team was blessed with the opportunity to come alongside Ruach Church in hosting a VBS. It is amazing to meet fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and be the be the church body together.

We are back at Ruach Church hosting the VBS! Today we are learning that God is a friend who loves us and we heard about the story of Jonah and the whale! 

After a full day of VBS we are stopping to enjoy a sweet treat of frozen yogurt! God is so good to us!

We’re excited to be back with Parkway Baptist and to learn about Jonah!

Tonight we looked at the story of the woman at the well, where Jesus met her as she was and gave her the living water freely!

After a fun filled day at VBS, we had a chance to get some froyo and taquitos! It’s been a joy to grow together in the community of Christ! 

Before, during, and after this incredible week...the local host pastors like Michael will continue reaching out to the families of the children that have come to VBS. It's a blessing to know that.

Our team only has limited access to their cell phones but why not use a banana!  Waiting for a bagel provides many opportunities.

Today we looked at the story of Jesus calming the storm, and we had our wonderful actors perform yet again! It’s a joy to see the kids so engaged!

Today at VBS at Ruach Church we did a treasure hunt for bible verses and then made up hand motions to help us and the kids memorize them. We had so much fun doing the actions and learning scripture!

What better way to wake someone up than with “10,000 Reasons”

God brings us to Him. We have the pleasure of befriending others. He joins people together. 

Every morning, we got to dance together for the Lord to start our mornings! It’s such a joy to see the joy of the Lord on so many faces!

We have made so many friends and great relationships with the kids at VBS this week. Today we enjoyed learning more about salvation and enjoying more games with our friends here at Ruach Church.

We have met so many wonderful people here at Ruach Church! It has been amazing working with Pastor Cunningham and his congregation as we put on this VBS. Even though we will only be here for this week they are just getting their ministry started and will be here for years to come serving their community day in and day out, God willing! It is so wonderful to encourage each other through prayer and fellowship as we come together as one body of Christ.

We had a treasure hunt with the kids at Ruach. Here are some of our treasures that highlight our themes and memories from this week. It was a precious time indeed. We ended with a talent show and it was an incredible week.
