West Main Students

West Main arrived safe and sound at First Baptist church Splendora! We heard some encouraging words from Pastor Billy and enjoyed delicious burgers for dinner before preparing for our week. 

We heard an amazing message on peace this morning from pastor Billy. We met some amazing members from Splendora and ended our afternoon with a prayer walk through the community. 

We ended an amazing Sunday with a devotional time led by Aiden on Nicodemus. We are excited to start a busy day of ministry tomorrow seeing how  the Lord uses us this week! 

One of our ministry groups sorted items for the upcoming yard sale with members of the church! Amazing we get to serve and connect with First Splendora!

Today we walked through many neighborhoods around Splendora and hung signs for our church and shared a little bit about the church community to passing cars, houses, and grocery stores. 

Today part of our team spent the entire day with pastor Billy building two bathrooms upstairs in the church. Group of hard workers! 

Half of the West Main students traveled to Impact Houston this morning to pack boxes and deliver them to cars of families in need, while the other half of our team served at Loaves and fishes preparing food for those without housing. What an amazing way to start our day of ministry! 

Finishing up our ministry today at Houston food bank. We sorted multiple fruits for disaster relief. This incredible team packaged over 2,200 lbs of beets! 

The door will be open to you… Unless it’s an intense game of hide and go seek and locking yourself in the bathroom is your best hiding option. What a fun way to end a long day of hard work at three different Houston ministry sites. 

Today we canvassed neighborhoods close to Splendora inviting people to come to church! While back at the church, bathroom walls are going up!

We got to help out at Impact Houston handing out food and we helped feed over 400 families.

Today after a long day at the beach soaking up the sun and riding roller coasters, we ate one last meal with Splendora church and said see you later to some of its members. 

We are so proud of all the work accomplished this week by West Main Students. We worked at so many ministry sights and these kids worked hard! This was the first missions group to ever stay at pastors Billy’s church and it was beyond successful! See you next year West Main!
