Fremont Alliance Church

Our wonderful team from Fremont arrived safe and sound at our host church! We did a tour of the church, some orientation and icebreakers with the the Brookeville team, and then settled in for the night. We’re all excited to meet our partner churches tomorrow!

Today we had a great time joining our awesome partners at Compassion Church for worship and then hopping over to Northern Alliance Church to hear Pastor Rob speak! We were also able to hear the beginning part of Beautiful Savior’s worship and message before leaving for the morning, so we were happy to be able to experience three different types of services.

In between pulling weeds and washing walls a resident took us on a nice walk to stretch our legs and wake us up from the morning!

It was so inspiring to hear Pastor Derek speak about his ministry and heart for missions at our meeting today, and encouraging as he prompted everyone to listen to what God is stirring in our hearts for this trip as well as for our future!

Closed on Sundays, so we made sure to get in our Chick-fil-A in for the week, it was well earned after their work today!

Here are some candid, and not so candid, photos of our time making tie blankets for an organization that provides services to youth experiencing homelessness! Shoutout to this group for having a heart ready to serve and bringing a positive and fun atmosphere wherever they go!

Can you believe he’s 17?! We feel honored to have been able to share this special day with him, and since his birthday also happened to land on the group’s recreation day they were able to spend it walking through the many halls of Mall of America. This young man has been a great example of a servant-minded leader, willing to serve in humility, but ready and able to lead as well. It’s been a blessing to have you here, we will be praying for both you and your team long after you leave!

This trip has sadly come to an end, but these teams are leaving changed with stirred hearts and new perspectives. We’ve especially enjoyed watching friendships develop between the Fremont and Brookeville teams, as they’ve shared their both their living space and their stories over the past week! A lot of loving and open arms in these two groups! God has done so much through them and in them during this short time, and we’re excited to send them back home so they can glorify God as they share this experience with others and so they can continue to be a light in the darkness wherever they go! Thankyou to the teams, to our host church, our partner church, and the ministries that openly welcomed us!
