Christ Chapel Bible Church

Our first full day in Houston began with attending the Youth Sunday School class before going to service at Memorial Baptist Church. We are now heading out for a worship service at First Baptist Splendora where we will be serving tomorrow morning as well! 

After worshipping at Splendora, Christ Chapel was able to pray over the youth pastor and pastor Billy and they encouraged them to continue to invest in this community. We will be serving in Splendora tomorrow all day in hopes to do as much as we can for the Splendora community. 

This morning Christ Chapel split into groups and served Splendora First in many ways! One of those ways was moving a HUGE pile of trash that piled up from the construction. Along with cleaning up the church and organizing after a yard sale. 

After serving in First Baptist Splendora we moved to the neighborhoods. We put up door hangers and spread the word about VBS and church service opportunities at Splendora First.

Today some of our team went and served at Impact Houston. We gave out food to over 200 cars and even more families. We shared the light and love of God through our actions and words. Blessed for this opportunity to serve. 

Today at loaves and fishes we witnessed Gods love for all his people serving meals in downtown Houston. We served donated Chick-fil-A nuggets and other prepared food to over 200 people. 

Today some of the team was able to go and serve at Catholic Charities Guadalupe Area Social Services and Food Distribution Center. We prepped bags, handed them out, gave out clothes and shoes, and helped prepare rooms for future ministry. We were also able to connect with the leaders and learn more about the ministry they do. 

Today half of our students worked with Kingdom care to clear some of the work foster parents don’t have time to handle on their own. We worked with two family’s and managed to do an entire garden and clean an entire garage. 

Tonight the whole team served at Impact Houston, providing meals for hundreds of people. It was amazing to see the teamwork and joy our team had.

Today part of Christ Capel served at Catholic charities. We sorted cloths for guests to come pick up what they need. Great way to wrap up the last day of ministry this week! 

On our last morning of ministry some of the team were able to serve at Martha’s Kitchen. We prepped the food, served it, and had meaningful conversations with the people who came in.
