This will be our staff for the week. Mikey, Karina and Gabriel will be our leaders and will be guiding us and assisting us during our time in Costa Rica. They’re so excited to begin this week of ministry with all of us.

We had our first meal at the church and everything was delicious. They make us feel so special through all the effort they put into serving us well.

Today, we had the opportunity to have a glorious Sunday Service with the entire congregation, where, as a group, we introduced ourselves in front of the local church.

Brandy brought the Word this morning and spoke about God’s love. God loved us so much that He gave His only son to die for us. That shows the great love that God has for us.

After a wonderful Sunday service, we sat down and shared with pastor Alvaro and learned about the story of how God 13 years ago called him to serve this congregation. Even in the midst of the difficulties, God has remained faithful to them during these years.

This afternoon we are getting ready for food distribution to bring hope to 20 families during the week.

This afternoon, after finishing the food bags, we had some time to play with the children and youth of the church. We had lots of fun!!!

During this week we will be able to bless 20 different families. 

Today we delivered 6 bags of food and it was a blessing for us to share time with the families, hear their testimonies and pray for them.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” Genesis 1:1 NIV 

During VBS, the kids learned who was the one who created everything we have. 

Also, we had a lot of fun doing some handicrafts and playing under the rain. 

The team did such a good job enclosing the sides with plastic sheets. This project will eventually enable the church to install air conditioning in the main building.

Today is our last day of construction, where we start the structure of the ceiling. We are happy to see what has been achieved these days with the construction of this project.

Today sadly was our last day of VBS where we learned about the life of Jesus, from his birth to his resurrection. As through his death, we were saved from our sins and we can have eternal life if we believe in him.

Today we had a wonderful day in Guanacaste! 

For the first time we did zip lining and it couldn’t have been more exciting. 

We are very thankful because we were able to learn a little more about the culture, food and people of Costa Rica. 

After a whole week of ministry it is time to say goodbye. We definitely saw God moving in many powerful ways.
