Immanuel Presbyterian Church

We arrived earlier this evening to Harvey from Immanuel Presbyterian Church! This week we are serving with Restoration Ministries, which focuses on restoring people and rebuilding communities. We are so excited! Here is a photo in The Harvey Boxing Club, one of the various programs at Restoration Ministries. 

Today we joined Spirit of God Fellowship which is the church that started Restoration Ministries. We had a blessed time hearing a message about “Knowing Your Father”. We were encouraged to dig into the Word and to know we were called and chosen by God! Happy Father’s Day!

After church, we took a group photo in front of the sign!

Today we took a prayer walk after church and prayed for the Thrift Store, Community Garden, Harvey House, and another home Restoration has. “and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Stopped at The Harvey House for some basketball after lunch!!

We’re at a community event for Fathers Day and Juneteenth! There’s free food, live music, and ice cream!

We went back to the boxing ring and got some Little Caesars Pizza for dinner! The boys have been wrestling and boxing and others are playing cards. 

We’re planting peppers, tomatoes, and kale in the community garden today! First we removed weeds from the bed, then planted!

After lunch we headed down to the pantry where we helped organize and stock shelves of their food pantry. 

Today we’re back at Restoration Ministries cleaning walls, finishing gardening, and helping at the thrift store. We’re excited to see the people we met yesterday and to make new friends!
